Dance Open Workshop

Dance Open Workshop

We invite the public of Mölndal and Gothenburg to join us in sharing our ongoing process towards a new performance experience in 2027.

At this stage, the work takes the form of an exhibition of performative tasks, experiments and entry points into a way of living that many of us will recognise: the constant juggling of our work, personal lives, relationships and responsibilities as we navigate the everyday. Where do we draw the line between work and life? And is there really a line at all?

Through these different explorations, we are interested in how we navigate, document and make sense of our individual experiences. How do we keep track of everything we do, everything we carry and all the roles we inhabit? How do we cope individually, and can we find ways of coping together?

The process also returns to a central question: How can all our perspectives exist at once, in one place?

ABOUT US

We are Robert, Adey, Nea, and Khamlane, dance artists and makers based in Sweden, forming the Sweden-based collective of the Creative Europe project iCoDaDo (International Contemporary Dance Collective) through @_ildance_. We are driven by a desire to explore communities, to share knowledge and experiences. A question that guides our work is How can all our perspectives exist in one place at the same time? This question acts as a driving force for our commitment to collective practice and a means for strengthening the way we see, collaborate, help, and respect one another as human beings.

The Sweden-based Collective is in residency at House of Possibilitas between 23-27/11 as part of iCoDaCo, a collaborative project that connects artists across Europe for collective creation, dialogue, and exchange within contemporary dance.

iCoDaCo is co-funded by EU @creative.eu @icodaco
